They were easy to work with, answered all of my questions, and welcomed our group of 17 people. We chose not to utilize their shuttler option because we stayed at the Berry Bridge Campground which is where the launch site is located. We drove three vehicles to the ending point, left two vehicles there, and drove one back to the campground. We then walked down to the launch site and got into the water! We will be making this a yearly event.

U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service & Fort Niobrara Wildlife Refuge
Your trip begins in the peaceful Fort Niobrara Wildlife Refuge, a protected area managed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. A $5 entry fee per person is required to paddle through this portion of the river. Wristband permits must be worn visibly at all times. These permits will be available at our office when you check in and will be included as a charge in your billing.
Please note that alcohol, water pistols or radios are NOT permitted while you’re within the refuge boundaries. Once you reach Berry Bridge, you’ll exit the wildlife area and may enjoy a cool beverage if you wish. There is a small concession stand near the river at Berry Bridge where you can grab some drinks or snacks before continuing your float.
