This route starts at Berry Bridge and ends at Brewer Bridge, taking you through calm waters and scenic greenery, perfect for both relaxation and exploration.

You can choose between a solo kayak, tandem kayak, or 2-person canoe to explore this calm and spring-fed river. As you head down the river, you’ll encounter high cliffs, tranquil forests, and streams that support local wildlife. About halfway through your trip, be sure to stop and stretch your legs at Smith Falls State Park, home to the tallest waterfall in Nebraska. It is important to us that you have a smooth and enjoyable experience on the river. Here are a few important things to keep in mind before your trip:

Each member of your group will be required to sign a waiver. Parents or guardians must sign for minors under 18.
Before you set off on your adventure, we’ll give you a quick safety briefing to ensure you feel confident and prepared.
The Niobrara River is beginner-friendly, with a slow current (3-7 mph) and an average depth between 18-24 inches. Our trips are calm and relaxing, perfect for paddlers of all experience levels.
Life jackets are provided for all paddlers and must be worn at all times by anyone under 12.
We recommend bringing sunscreen, bug spray, drinking water, and a hat.
Please wear secure footwear suitable for wading. Water shoes or sandals with straps are ideal, flip flops are not.

With the right preparation, your time on the Niobrara River will be safe, relaxing, and enjoyable.
